A blue light is a sign of peace, and all of our brave men and women wearing a police uniform, are peacekeepers, working all hours of the day and night, every day of the year, to protect and serve the communities where they work.  Its extremely nice to patrol around the Village, Town or County, and see blue lights in the windows of residences, honoring our fallen comrades and showing on duty officers that the community cares and appreciates what they do.
Please take the time to place that blue light at your house this holiday season!
“PROJECT BLUE LIGHT”
The holiday season is fast approaching, and many people are already putting up Christmas decorations.  Please keep Project Blue Light, in your mind, as you decorate your residence. This memorial began in 1988, when the mother of a slain Philadelphia police officer, placed a solitary blue candle in her window, to honor his memory.  Since that first year, Concerns Of Police Survivors, (COPS), has promoted this simple gesture, on a nationwide basis, as a way for citizens and communities to show their support for all of the law enforcement officers that have made the supreme sacrifice.
