Board of Trustee Minutes 7/06/2011

 

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Delhi was held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. in the Village Hall Boardroom. 

Present:               Mayor                   Richard Maxey
                           Trustees              Christopher Maney, Jeremy Fitch, Gerry Pilgrim                                                               

The meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance at 5:30 p.m. 

Motion was made by Trustee Fitch to approve the Abstract dated July 6, 2011 in the total amount of $116,179.99.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Maney and passed unanimously. 

Motion was made by Trustee Maney to appoint Allan Alwine as skunk catcher.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Fitch and passed unanimously. 

Motion was made by Trustee Maney to participate in the Update to the Multi-Jurisdiction Hazard Mitigation Plan.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Fitch and passed unanimously. 

Motion was made by Trustee Fitch to approve the hire of Katherine Bracci and Rachel Vail as assistant tennis instructors.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Maney and passed unanimously. 

Motion was made by Trustee Maney to approve a $300 stipend to David Martin for the summer basketball program, and a $150 allowance for supplies.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Fitch and passed unanimously. 

Mayor announced that the Village will not be renewing the agreement with the residents of Murray Hill to maintain that driveway.  The neighbors have been notified. 

Mayor announced that he has given the land transfer papers to the Delhi Town Supervisor.  After the Supervisor signs them and returns them, the Village will file them and the Town will have possession of the property by the legion for the proposed pool. 

Motion was made by Trustee Maney to re-advertise the tree trimming/removal and Village Hall painting bids to be opened at the close of business on July 18, 2011.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Fitch and passed unanimously. 

Motion was made by Trustee Fitch at 6:06 p.m. to enter executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular person and bridge litigation.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Maney and passed unanimously.  

Motion was made by Trustee Maney to exit executive session.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Fitch and passed unanimously. 

Open session resumed at 7:06 p.m. 

Motion was made by Trustee Maney to not file the Notice of Appeal in the Woolerton Street Bridge matter.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Pilgrim and passed with Trustees Maney, Pilgrim and Fitch voting yes and Mayor Maxey voting no.  

Motion was made by Trustee Maney to give Chief Mills a $.85 raise to coincide with the raise of the PBA members pursuant to GML 207(m).    Motion was seconded by Trustee Fitch and passed unanimously.

Motion was made by Trustee Fitch to adjourn.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Maney and passed unanimously. 

Meeting adjourned at 7:18 p.m.
