Board of Trustee Minutes 02/10/2014

A meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Delhi was held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 5:45 p.m. in the Village Hall Boardroom.

Present:           Mayor             Richard Maxey

Trustees          Gregory Krzyston, Jeremy Fitch, Dan Ayres

The meeting started at 5:45 p.m.

Police Officer Matt Davis, with Chief Mills and Captain Small, gave a presentation regarding a possible police dog for the department.  The K9 would be shared with the Village of Hancock.  Officer Davis is in the process of seeking and applying for grants.

Motion was made by Trustee Ayres to support the K9 program with a commitment of $1,000 based on a grant from the Mee Foundation.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Fitch and passed unanimously.

The Board reviewed a rough copy of the 2014-2015 budget.

Mayor Maxey will be getting in touch with Fiscal Advisors regarding possible financing for DPW Superintendent Curley’s proposed road plan.

Mayor Maxey stated that we still need to address the pavers on Main Street

Motion was made by Trustee Fitch to appoint Mable Adams and Ruth Vredenburgh as election inspectors for the 2014 Village Elections.

Motion was made by Trustee Ayres directing the Clerk to charge PBA employees’ leave time for overpayment of holiday pay.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Krzyston and passed unanimously.

Motion was made by Trustee Fitch to enter executive session to discuss PBA negotiations at 8:31 p.m.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Krzyston and passed unanimously.

Motion was made by Trustee Fitch to exit executive session.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Ayres and passed unanimously.

Open session resumed at 8:58 p.m.

Motion was made by Trustee Ayres to adjourn.  Motion was seconded by Trustee Krzyston and passed unanimously.

Meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
